Participating in the Cultivating Women's Leadership workshop/training last week has inspired some resolutions. Enormous gratitude to the amazing women who have planted seeds within me that I will intentionally and carefully tend to as they germinate and grow.
Resolution #1: Sing more. This is coming along just fine. I've been communicating through song, singing along with the radio and remembering old camp ballads that I joyfully sing with a chorus of birds in the early morning desert stillness.
Resolution #2: Daily reflections for one year. This is a new resolution, born this morning, inspired by a fellow woman retreatant and the joy my early morning sunrise viewing brought to me. I will post some form of reflection everyday to this blog. My contributions for today come in the form of 2 Dekaaz - 10 syllable poems in the form of 2-3-5 syllables per line.
1.
Sunrise
Don't close your
Eyes. World is turning.
2.
Dog Love
Pure, Simple
It Can Heal The World.
Resolution #3: Actively cultivate positivity in my mind. This is one I've already been working on, but it was re-freshed at the retreat when I realized how miserable I am when I allow myself to take a dive into the negativity. I also realize how being in this space of negativity undermines my power. And I am ready to step into and OWN my power.
